Thief Rolls Off With Souped-Up Car at Skating Rink; Carjacker Hits Home; Threats at Church Meeting; 'Yapping' at QuikTrip

A look at police incident reports locally and from around the region.

More than skaters were rolling off at the All American Skate Center in unincorporated Stone Mountain in Gwinnett County on Dec 30.

A man told Gwinnett County police that while he was inside the skating rink with his child, someone took off with his car, a 1983 Oldsmobile Delta 88 Royal.

The victim arrived about 6:30 p.m., turned on his Viper car alarm after parking, and went inside. When he came out nearly two hours later, the car was gone. The victim noticed broken glass where his car had been parked, according to the report.

The car was described as all white with a blue roof.

The incident report states that the suspect or suspects broke the front window of the vehicle, then entered and left the parking lot in an unknown direction.

The victim told police the car has 26-inch rims on all four tires, a 12-inch speaker, and an alpine television mounted on the front dash. Inside was a leather biker vest and iPhone.

According to the report, the phone was called to track it, but it was turned off.

The skating rink's security cameras are on the front door so the parking lot incident was not captured , the report states.
