[Video] Police Chief, Planning Official Discuss the Colony Apartments at Town Hall Meeting

The dilapidated apartment complex, shut down last summer, was brought up at DeKalb CEO Burrell Ellis' town hall meeting Thursday.

The DeKalb County Chief of Police, William O'Brien, and the Associate Director of Planning for DeKalb, Andrew Baker, addressed the issue of the dilapidated Colony of Stone Mountain Apartment Homes off Hairston Road at CEO Burrell Ellis' Feb. 16 town hall meeting at St. Timothy United Methodist Church.

The Colony, in unincorporated Stone Mountain, has been the scene of a number of fires --Β  including a blaze in which no one was hurt Friday night, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution --Β  shootings, and other crimes. It was shut down last summer.
