The victim of theft by deception tells DeKalb County police he dropped off clothes at a dry cleaning service, but when he came back to get them - the business and his clothes were gone.

A man wanted to take advantage of a deal at a dry cleaning business on S. Hairston Rd. Instead, the dry cleaner allegedly took off with his clothes and money, he told DeKalb County police.

According to the police report, the man said he dropped off eleven pieces of clothing at an "unknown cleaners" at 2071 S. Hairston on August 9, lured by the dry cleaner's special of "11 pieces for only $18.95." He also paid for the clothes that day, he told police.

The address for the cleaners listed in the police report is near the unincorporated Stone Mountain line into unincorporated Decatur, close to Covington Highway.

The victim told police that when he returned to pick up the clothes on Aug. 15, the building was deserted.

The value of the clothing is listed in the report at $200.
