Vehicular Homicide Suspect Indicted
Chasity Jones, 22, is accused in the death of an Atlanta police officer.
Vehicular homicide suspect , the woman from Stone Mountain in Gwinnett County who is accused in the death of an Atlanta Police officer, has been indicted. As a result, she won't have a court hearing today (Feb. 9), the Fulton County Sheriff's Office said.
Her indictment number has not been assigned to a Superior Court Judge yet, the Sherrif's office said.
Atlanta Police say Gail Thomas, a 15-year veteran of the Atlanta Police Department, was struck and killed on the I-75/I-85 Brookhaven late last month by a vehicle driven by Jones, 22.

Police say Jones blew a .16 on scene and refused consent for a state administered blood alcohol reading. The Atlanta Journal Constitution reported that the reading is twice the level considered to be too impaired to drive.
