Local Man Charged in Dunwoody Murder

A Stone Mountain man is suspected of killing man after shooting him in a robbery. The suspect contacted the victim through backpage.com

Police say that a man was killed in Dunwoody last week after he was contacted on the personals' website backpage.com, and that the motive was robbery.

Backpage.com is known as a place for the solcitation of prostitution. Dunwoody Police said they did not know the nature of the solicitation in the case.

"We believe the suspect was targeting or identifying his victims through back page.com," according to Sgt. Mike Carlson.

Dunwoody Police Tuesday arrested Christopher Williams, 20, of Stone Mountain, in connection with a shooting Friday at Peachtree Place Apartments.

Roberto Calderon-Guzman, a 30-year-old man from Bainbridge, Ga., was shot and taken to to Northside Hospital early Friday. He was later pronounced dead.

Williams is being charged with one count of murder and one count of possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony. He is being held at DeKalb County Jail.

Police are asking anyone who was contacted by Williams let Dunwoody Police know.
