Two More People Arrested in Alleged Inmate Identity Theft

Scheme involved stealing jail inmates' identities, filing fraudulent tax returns and keeping the refunds, police say

Two more people were arrested Wednesday and face charges in an alleged identity theft operation.

Takeisha Randolph and Charles Adrian Daniely have been arrested, said Sgt. Adrion Bell, spokesman with the DeKalb County Sherriff’s office. The address for both was listed as 1449 Golf Link Drive in unincorporated Stone Mountain.

Sherriff's deputies spent several hours Wednesday afternoon at the home, which is located in the Hidden Hills subdivision. The investigation is ongoing, Bell said.

Randolph and Daniely were allegedly in on a scheme that police say involved two others: Jail technician Adriara Addison, who was charged with using inmates’ Social Security numbers to file false tax returns and keeping the refunds, and her boyfriend, Robbie Sims, who also was arrested, according to an article in the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. The newspaper also said both were charged with identity theft.
