Lithonia School Administrators Indicted on Cheating Charges

Angela Jennings and Derek Wooten allegedly falsified records.

Former administrators at two Lithonia schools were charged Tuesday by a DeKalb County grand jury with manipulating tests or attendance records, according to the AJC.

Angela Jennings, former Principal of Rock Chapel Elementary School, and Derek Wooten, former Assistant Principal of Stoneview Elementary School, were indicted for criminal activity related to cheating on the Criterion-Referenced Competency Test.

Jennings allegedly removed students from enrollment records so their test results would not have an adverse effect on school averages. Wooten is accused of falsifying attendance records in order to meet federal guidelines.
