Suspect in Drive-in Murder Arrested

Quentric Williams, who police say shot and killed a man at the Starlight Drive-in earlier this week - and whose police chase put in motion events that ended up with a Memorial Drive pedestrian dead -- was arrested Wednesday afternoon, the DeKalb County sheriff's office said.

Williams, who was arrested at the Sun Suites on Club Drive in Gwinnett county, is charged with the murder of Mitt Lenix at Starlight Six Drive-in. Police chased Williams to Lilburn-Stone Mountain Road, where Williams wrecked his car, then escaped on foot, according to ajc.com.

struck and killed a pedestrian, Clinton Hightower, 27, on Memorial Drive. According to the ajc.com article, Hightower died at the scene.

A witness told WSB TV that the police officer was speeding and had no sirens or lights flashing when Hightower was hit.
