Suspect Arrested in Redan Road Armed Robbery
Police say suspect had a stolen vehicle at the time of the arrest.
Members of the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office Fugitive Squad members, with help from the U.S. Marshals Special Task Force and the Atlanta Police Department, have arrested Alphonzo Carter, 18 for armed robbery, possession of firearm during a crime, probation violation robbery and aggravated assault, the office announced Tuesday.
Carter allegedly took two cell phones and a polo hat from a man at gun point on October 26, 2011, at 5171 Redan Road, according to the warrant. The location is in unincorporated Stone Mountain.
Police said that during the arrest, Carter was in possession of a stolen vehicle. The suspect was taken to the DeKalb County Jail without further incident.
