Stone Mountain Man Charged With Multiple Felonies

Police found $32,000 worth of drugs and stolen property in a hotel room.

Brookhaven Police arrested two suspects Thursday on 16 charges after officers found some $32,000 worth of drugs and stolen property in their hotel room.

The arrest happened after officers encountered a suspicious person at the Red Roof Inn parking lot on North Druid Hills Road. Officers identified the suspect as Darrick Frazier, 39, of Stone Mountain, according to a press release from the city.  

Frazier was with a female friend, Victoria Capland, 28, of Marietta, who was wanted by Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office for shoplifting. Police searched the room and found heroin, marijuana, cocaine, psychedelic mushrooms, Xanex pills, syringes, a stolen handgun and $4,000 cash.  

Frazier and Capland were arrested on 13 felony and three misdemeanor charges combined, including trafficking heroin, drug possession, theft by receiving a stolen firearm, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and shoplifting. They are being held at DeKalb County Jail.
