Security Guard Shoots Robbery Suspect at S. Hairston Bank

A security guard shot a bank robbery suspect in the knee Wednesday morning at the Citizens Trust Bank at 2592 S. Hairston Rd., according to ajc.com.
A bank teller sustained a graze wound from debris, ajc.com reports.
The suspect came into the bank and tried to rob it after 9 a.m. Wednesday. He was described as making an "aggressive movement with his handgun" when the security guard confronted him, according to ajc.com. A CBS Atlanta report said the bank robbery suspect had a toy gun.

The guard fired several shots at the suspect, who was hit in the knee and will be taken to DeKalb County Jail after examination at a local hospital, the reports state.
The bank is in unincorporated Decatur near Wesley Chapel Road.
