Report: Lithonia Best Bank Inside Kroger Hit By Armed Robber Again

The suspect made off with an undisclosed amount of money in the Nov. 24 incident. Best Bank had no comment.

Best Bank inside the Kroger at 6678 Covington Highway in unincorporated Lithonia was robbed Nov.24, according to cbsatlanta.

This was the second armed robbery at the bank in less than a month.

According to the news outlet, the bank was robbed in the afternoon, two days after Thanksgiving. The suspect produced a weapon and demanded money. He got an undisclosed amount of cash from the bank teller and fled, cbsatlanta reported.

The Best Bank is situated in front of the store's busy checkout area.

In a robbery on Oct. 26, the suspect robbed the bank around 3 p.m., according to ajc.com, citing the FBI. The suspect brought out a handgun and got away with an undisclosed amount of cash.

When contacted by Patch about the latest incident, a spokeswoman with Guaranty Bank, the parent company of Best Bank, said the company had no comment, but said senior leadership would be handling the matter internally.
