Report: Kalonjis Get Apology from Gun-Toting Neighbors

Men in Covington had mistakenly suspected the couple of breaking into a nearby house brought them flowers Wednesday, WSB reports.

The parents of local bakery owner Bruno Kalonji, held last month by gun-toting men in Covington who suspected the couple of trying to break in to a nearby house, made an apology to the Kalonjis on Wednesday, according to WSB.

Last month, the television station reported that father and son Robert and Branden Canoles mistakenly thought the Kalonjis were breaking into the home near theirs; the two came by with guns. Police were called to the scene. In actuality, the Kalonjis had come to change the locks on their new home.

Kalonji Bakery is located at 933 Main Street in the city of Stone Mountain.
