One Man Shot, Nearby Schools on Lockdown
Man was shot on Sagewood Circle; Stone Mountain Middle and Idlewood were on lockdown.
DeKalb police said one man was shot today in the 1300 block of Sagewood Circle in unincorporated DeKalb County.
According to DeKalb County Police spokeswoman Mekka Parish "an officer in the area heard shots and responded to location. He was able to pull over and arrest two suspects, a third fled the scene. The victim was transported to hospital in critical condition. Unsure at this point what promoted the shooting. Call came in around 11:30am."
Two schools in the vicinity, in Tucker and were on lockdown.
