Man Unwittingly Bought Picture Frame Instead of iPads

What a way to start the new year.

On Jan. 1, a man told police that two men sold him three fake iPads, for which he paid $500, at the gas station, 5995 Covington Highway, according to the police report.

The man said he was approached by the men with what appeared to be three unopened iPads. The man opened the package after the subjects left, and found a picture frame instead, the police report stated.

The men were described as two black males in their late 20s; one subject had gold teeth and dreaded hair, was 5-foot-10 and 180 pounds; the second subject had a tattoo on his neck and was about 5-foot-8 and 150 pounds, according to information in the report.

The man told police the men left the station in a 90s model tan Chevrolet Impala with a Louisiana license plate.
