Man's Boots Weren't Made for Walking Off With Thief

In the theft by taking incident, a man told police on Sept. 9 that his shoes were shipped Aug. 24, but he never got them.

A man in unincorporated Lithonia filed an incident report with DeKalb County police Sept. 9 about a pair of Timberland boots valued at $129 that were shipped to him but apparently walked off by someone else.

The 46-year-old victim told police he had purchased the boots and had them sent through the mail to be delivered at the residence in the 2000 block of Pintail Cove. He thought the shoes were never delivered, so he called the company.

The man was told the shoes were shipped on Aug. 24.
