Ladder Found Where Peeping Tom Took a Peek

There's no description of the subject, according to a DeKalb County police report.

A ladder was found near the bedroom window of a home in unincorporated Lithonia, where a woman told DeKalb police she saw a person looking in on Sept. 2 around 8:50 p.m.

The woman said she was in her upstairs bedroom in the back side of the house on Pinnacle Way when she heard a noise outside, according to the police report. She grabbed a flashlight and looked out the back window, but told police she saw nothing.

After a few minutes, she saw someone looking in the window to her bedroom. The person then disappeared. She called 911.

When DeKalb police arrived, her son and a neighbor from across the street were also present. An aluminum ladder -- which the victim said had been in her back yard for about a week but did not belong to her or husband -- was against the back of the house leading to the victim's bedroom, the police report states.

The neighbor said the ladder was his and had been taken from his home about a week ago. The neighbor said his wife told him she saw what looked liked a young man running from behind the victim's house heading toward Fair Harbor Drive.
