Inside the Police Reports: Woman Takes Off With Roommate's Dog After Argument

DeKalb police responded to the incident Oct. 10 in unincorporated Stone Mountain.

A man told DeKalb County police that a roommate took off with his dog without his consent after an argument.

The incident happened just before noon on Oct. 10 in the 1500 block of Fieldgreen Overlook in unincorporated Stone Mountain, where the complainant told police that he and the female roommate got into an argument over who was to babysit another roommate's children.

After the fight, the man said the roommate took his small dog --Β  a Boston terrier mix with a black coat and white belly -- and left with the animal, without his permission. The man told police that she refused to return the dog.

According to the police report, the woman was not available for comment.

The man was advised on warrant procedures and given a case number, the report states.
