Inside the Police Reports: Suspect Fired Shot As He Robbed Woman In Her Car

The victim was not injured in the Dec. 9 incident in unincorporated Stone Mountain.

An armed suspect fired a shot as he robbed a woman getting out of her vehicle in unincorporated Stone Mountain on Dec. 9 according to a DeKalb County incident report.

The incident occurred in the 2500 block of Treehills Parkway, at the Reserve at Stonecreek Apartments where the victim lives. She told police as she was getting out of her car an unknown black male put his foot in the door and pointed a gun at her face, around 2:25 a.m.

The suspect told her to to give him everything she had, then fired the gun into her car one time, close to her face, she said. She was not injured.

The victim gave the suspect her pocketbook, which contained her driver's license, credit cards and social security card. The suspect then ran off toward the entrance of the apartment complex. The pocketbook was valued at $45.

The suspect was described as a dark skinned black male wearing a brown jacket with orange inner lining.

Police located a .38 auto shell casing inside the vehicle, the incident report states.

Later that morning around 9:33 a.m. police returned. The victim's boyfriend found the fired round in the car's trunk.
