Inside the Police Reports: Man's $6,000 Wheels Stolen

The early November incident left the victim with his silver Mercedes, but no way to drive it and no tunes to listen to.

A man told DeKalb County police that the wheels and radio from his 1999 silver Mercedes Benz CLK430 were stolen on Nov. 1 in unincorporated Lithonia.

The victim, of Avondale Estates, said he parked his vehicle at a location in the 1300 block of Rogers Trace at around 5:30 p.m. He cracked the sun roof and put on the alarm, according to the police report.

When he returned about three hours later, he saw that the wheels were gone and the front driver's side window was down. The radio was also stolen, the report states.
