Inside the Police Reports: Man Robbed of Cash, Pot

Each week, Stone Mountain-Redan Patch takes a closer look at recent crime reports.

DeKalb County Police responded to a robbery call March 7 in the 1200 block of Adcox Road in unincorporated Stone Mountain. The officer spoke with a man who said he was selling marijuana to three men - one whose name was known, the others unknown - when he was grabbed around the neck from behind and felt an unknown object in his back.

The man said the suspect grabbed $250 from his pocket and an ounce of marijuana, according to the report.

There were no injuries, police said. The man was given a case number.

Car Thieves Steal Car Owner's' Manual, But Not Car

On March 12 DeKalb police responded to the 2000 block of Hidden Creek Drive in nearby unincorporated Decatur around 6:22 a.m., where the victim said someone stole some items from her 2009 Nissan Rogue. She said she parked the car at about 6:30 p.m. on March 11 and upon her return at about  5:45 a.m. she noticed the glove compartment and middle console open.

Missing were three pairs of designer sunglasses (Dolce & Gabana, Kenneth Cole, Jessica Simpson), a Coach I.D. pouch with the victim's Virginia identification card, and the vehicle owner's manual.

There were also registration, insurance cards and other documents from the glove compartment on the passenger side floor, according to the report. The victim was given a case number.
