Man Carjacked at Gas Station

The victim encountered the suspects at the Shell station on Rockbridge Road on Jan. 1.

A man told DeKalb County police that two men carjacked him at the Shell gas station at 6549 Rockbridge Rd. on Jan. 1.

The incident happened around 5 p.m., according to the police report. The victim said he entered the parking lot at the station and pulled up to a pump. Before getting out, he made a phone call.

While on the phone, the victim told police that he noticed two men standing beside the Shell building. The victim ended the call and saw the first suspect coming up to his vehicle, a 2000 Saturn LS.

According to the report, the suspect brandished a handgun while opening the door and said, "You wanna lose your life? Get out the car!"

The victim got out and the second suspect approached, entering the passenger's side of the car, the report states.

The suspects fled the scene in the car.

The first suspect was described as 5-foot-8 inches, 19-25 years old, 180 pounds, with a dark complexion. He was wearing a black skull cap, black hoodie and khaki pants.

The second suspect had the same height and age range as the first. He was 160 pounds, had a medium complexion and was wearing a black skull cap, black hoodie and one black glove.

The Saturn was valued at $8,500.
