Home Invasion Suspects Told Victim They Would Return

In the Jan. 12 incident, the suspects said they'd be back after discovering the victim only had $18.

Two home invasion suspects told their victim that they would be back after bursting into his house in the 4000 block of Cedar Ridge Trail and looking around for more than the $18 he had.

The incident happened Jan. 12 around 5:30 p.m. in unincorporated Stone Mountain, according to the DeKalb County police report. The victim told police he was sitting on his couch watching television when he heard "a loud bang come from the front door."

He turned to find the first suspect pointing a gun at him. After going upstairs, the suspect pushed the victim to the floor, held the gun to his head and demanded money, the report states.

A second suspect went looking around and said, "all you have is eighteen dollars," according to the report. After looking around again, one of the suspects said they'd be back the following week, the report states.

They told the victim to stay on the bed, then they left the home, taking the victim's cell phone.

According to the report, because the victim's cell phone was stolen, it took him a few minutes to find a neighbor and call police. There were no injuries.
