High-Speed Crash in DeKalb Leaves 1 Dead, 2 Arrested
Man inside stolen car died as a result of injuries sustained in accident near Highway 78.
DeKalb police say one man was killed and two others were arrested following a high-speed chase and wreck along Highway 78 on Tuesday morning.
Police began following a vehicle after it was observed driving erratically on Memorial Drive. At some point during the chase, the driver lost control, crossed over a median and crashed into a tree near the ramp to Ponce de Leon from Memorial Drive.
An armed man and woman attempted to flee the stolen car, but were quickly apprehended. Another man inside the car died as a result of injuries sustained in the accident.
