DeKalb Mom Hopes Public Can Help Locate Missing Son

An 18-year-old Stone Mountain special needs man has been missing since Wednesday. Anyone with information on Roy Cottrell III is asked to call DeKalb Police.

A DeKalb County teen has been missing since he attended a Wednesday evening Bible study at his church. 

Tinaka Ras says her 18-year-old special needs son, Roy Cottrell III, was at their Stone Mountain home about 9 p.m. June 18 because she spoke to him by phone then. But Cottrell wasn’t home by the time Ras arrived.

Ras told WSB TV she found her son’s cellphone and a letter that read, “I love you, Mom. Thank you for all your help.”

Cottrell is hoping the public might have information that will bring he son home.
