Update: Child,10, Hit by Vehicle on Panola Road
The child is in critical condition, according to news outlets; the incident happened around 7:30 a.m.
Updated: According to WSB, the child's name is Moses Moore and he was not supposed to go to school (Panola Way Elementary) because he had been suspended. However, the report states that Moore believed he was only suspended from the bus. WSB reports that the family has asked that the hospital not provide any additional information on his condition.

A 10-year-old child who was struck by a vehicle on Panola Road Tuesday morning is in critical condition, according to news outlets.

11alive originally reported that the child was pronounced dead at a local hospital, citing information from a DeKalb county police spokeswoman.
About two hours after the accident, police reported that the child was still alive and in critical condition, according to 11alive.
