Burglary Leaves Homeless Pet Rescue Center 'Devastated'

Thieves took computer equipment and retail inventory, among other things.

Burglars broke into AARF Pet Central, the homeless pet shelter that was to open next month in Stone Mountain village, taking tools, computer equipment and more, the organization said.

"As a result, renovations at our new community pet center in Stone Mountain have come to a standstill," AARF said on its website.

The thieves also took fixtures, pet supplies and inventory from a planned retail store.
