Body Found Near Hambrick Elementary School

After a 911 caller reported hearing gunshots, police found a body near Hambrick Elementary School in Stone Mountain.

Police responding to a 911 call of gunshots near Hambrick Elementary School in Stone Mountain found the body of a 21-year-old man near the school.
 
DeKalb County Deputy Chief Operating Officer for Public Safety Dr. Cedric Alexander told WSB TV there is an ongoing murder investigation on Hambrick Road.
 
The Georgia Bureau of Investigation, DeKalb County police and DeKalb school police are all working to determine the motive for the crime.
 
Members of the victim’s family arrived at the scene Sunday and told Young that the man was a college student.

DeKalb County Schools are out of school this week for spring break, classes resume April 14.
