Friends, Family Remember Local Entrepreneur Logan Stewart

Stewart passed away April 8; opened Next Level by Logan Men's Fashion in Stone Mountain.

Logan Stewart, who opened in the Crowe's Crossing Shopping Center on S. Hairston Rd. last year, has died. He was 52.

"He fulfilled his dream and his family plans to continue his dream," said Stewart's daughter, Timisha Martin-Stewart.

Rosetta R. Wright left a message of remembrance in the comments section of a Patch article on his store: "R.I.P. Logan. We in the Ballroom community will miss you. You were so humble. I will miss your hugs and smile. We still can't believe that you are gone...We know that you are in heaven dressing the Angels in your lastest fashions....R.I.P. & we love you."

On sites such as Legacy.com, Stewart is being remembered for his fashion sense and style, generosity and warm personality.

Last December, Stewart sat down with Patch to talk about his new store, located a few doors down from the S. Hairston Kroger. He picked that location because of "Kroger and the foot traffic. It's just phenomenal," he said.

He also spoke of the importance of offering quality merchandise and customer service, which he learned from past employers. "Most of all I learned customer service is number one. If you don't make people feel welcome, they're not coming back," he said.

Stewart's viewing is at 10 a.m., Saturday April 14, at the Conyers location of Voices of Faith, 1290 Sigman Rd. The funeral service follows at 12 p.m.
