Funeral Thursday for Barbara Cown
Service will be at 2 p.m. at Snellville Christian Church.
Barbara S. Cown of Stone Mountain died on Monday, Oct. 28.
Cown was 70 and is survived by her husband of 50 years, Lewis C. Cown; daughters Carol and her husband Donnie Godwin of Ft. Walton Beach, Fla., and Lisa and her husband Paul Brown of Stone Mountain, and numerous other relatives.
Cown was born to Carl and Dafner Smith in Thomaston, Ga. and graduated from Mary Persons High School. She attended Marsh Business College in Atlanta and worked as an accountant for Cofer Bros in Tucker for 40 years.
A service will be held on Thursday, Oct. 31 at 2 p.m. at Snellville Christian Church, 2485 Scenic Highway, with interment to follow at New Hope Methodist Church Cemetery in Between, Ga.
