'Right Choices' Mentoring Program Begins

A life and social skills program for young men kicked off Thursday.

DeKalb's Police Department, School System and Coalition of Clergy hosted a ceremony Thursday to introduce students selected for the ‘Right Choices' mentoring program. It's designed for young men and includes life and social skills development.

The ceremony took place at the DeKalb County School District Office in Stone Mountain. Police Chief Cedric Alexander and School Superintendent Michael Thurmond were present.

It was "an opportunity for mentors to meet the program participants and their families as well as learn more about the mentoring curriculum," a press release stated.
