Negative Reaction After Local Pastor's Support of Gay Marriage

Pastor of Victory for the World Church on N. Hairston tells CBS Atlanta there's been a backlash since announcing support for President Obama's stance on the issue.

Kenneth Samuel, pastor of Victory for the World Church on N. Hairston Road, told CBS Atlanta the church has received some negative response since he announced support of President Barack Obama's stance on same-sex marriage.

According to the report, the television station WATC has dropped the church's weekly broadcast.

A few years ago, there was adverse reaction when Samuel preached on accepting gays and lesbians, CBS Atlanta said. The station also reported that during his Mother's Day sermon, Samuel told his congregation that he isn't concerned about the repercussions.
