See What's Happening in Stone Mountain Village!

There's enthusiasm and excitement in the air...

If you've driven down Main Street in Stone Mountain lately, it's not hard to see the progress the city is making. Streetscape Phase I is complete and the streets look fresh and new, ready for pedestrians and a plethora of activity.  There are new restaurants and shops opening, with more on the way. There's a buzz about town and people are enthusiastic about what's to come. 

Main Street Stone Mountain is busy working on several big events that will take place this Spring and Summer.  The first is Second Saturday in May, a Bluegrass Music and Pottery Festival May 14th in the Village.  Main Street will be closed and potters and food vendors will set up their tents to sell their wares.  The South DeKalb Street Rodders are hosting a Classic Car Show - all are welcome to bring their souped up hot rods and compete for prizes.  There will be a Kids' Fun Zone, with a moonwalk bouncey house, hair painters, balloon twisters, bubble station and more for the little ones.  And let's not forget the headlining act...the city will be humming with the sounds of Bluegrass music, played by scores of musicians who will be walking the streets all day long. We'll be contra dancing in the streets!  Be sure to stay till sundown, when the fun day of food and music is capped off with a fireworks display, right there on Main Street.
