Holiday Hair & Make-up Tips

Need some fresche ideas for hair & make-up for a holiday party? Try it at home, or find that perfect stylist to help...here's a few suggestions.

It's that most wonderful time of the year....again and we all want to look fabulous!

So, what to wear?  What should you do to your hair or make-up?

The most amazing outfit is just not going to be complete, without thinking about how your hair will be styled.  Up or down?  Straight or curly?

Curly hair definitely has options.  You can maximize your curls and go for a dramatic look by diffusing the curls softly and then finger-teasing them out.  Pin one side over across your forehead for added drama & softness.

Or, if you want to wear it up ~you could braid one side of it, or braid it from the side into the back and wrap the braid around itself.  To create dual-texture - it will look a bit more modern to do something different on the front other than the braid.  You can create a pompadour or roll the front and pull it down low.

When considering make-up, decide which feature you want to emphasize and what is your strongest asset.  If you have great eyes, play them up with either a smokey eye or a pop of colour (like green, gold or purple) and then down play your lip with something more nude or neutral.  If you have great lips, go for a bold red or deeper stain of burgundy and keep your eyes more subtle with just a bit of mascara and a shimmer on the lids in neutral.

Gold is always a great idea on your face for holiday shimmer, on the eye area, or even on your lips - especially if you have olive or darker skin tone.

Whether you try these looks yourself or go to a professional for help, tis' the season to look your best!
