Adopt-A-Stream Workshop Saturday

DeKalb County’s Department of Watershed Management in collaboration with the Stone Mountain Memorial Association will host its next Adopt-A-Stream Workshop Saturday, June 22, 2013, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Stone Mountain’s Confederate Hall Historical and Environmental Education Center, located at 2003 Robert E. Lee Blvd., Stone Mountain, Ga. 30083.

The workshop is part of the county’s overall mission and continued effort to educate county residents on water quality issues and how to protect one of the county’s most critical natural resources.

“One of our foremost priorities is to protect the public health, safety and welfare of our county’s residents,” CEO Burrell Ellis said. “By continuing to provide safe drinking water and quality wastewater treatment for our residents, we continue to preserve and protect one of our most important natural resources. We look forward to welcoming our residents at the upcoming Adopt-A-Stream Workshop and appreciate everyone’s contributions in helping us protect our water resources.”
