Final Draft's Celebrity Basketball Game & School Readiness Event

FINAL DRAFT GIVES BACK TO THE COMMUNITY

Celebrity Basketball Game and School Readiness Event in conjunction with the Wade Walker Park Family YMCA

Final
Draft known as the new faces of R&B and most recently #1 on
Billboard charts for R&B single sales, 2013 Georgia Music Awards
winner for Best R&B Group, Honoree at the IED Awards in NYC for
their image, and currently on the DUB Show Tour, stands firm with giving
back to the community. On August 17th, Final Draft will be having a
celebrity basketball game and school readiness event in conjunction with
Wade Walker Park Family YMCA who’s
celebrating their 1 year anniversary.  The YMCA focuses on youth
development, healthy living and social responsibility while ensuring
school readiness, improving academic achievement, and inspiring teen
leadership. The event will kick-off at 10:00 am, and from 11:00 am-1:00
pm Final Draft and some of their celebrity friends like actor Justin
Martin (Flight, Steel Magnolias), singer/actress Alix Lapri (Reed
Between the Lines, Standing Up), Lil G (Silk), and Sir Foster (organ
player for Atlanta Hawks), and more will read and interact with the kids
expressing the importance of school, literacy and  a love for books.

At
2:00 pm, the entertainment begins. Celebrities will come out to show
the kids that they support them in being ready for school. They will be
participating in Final Draft’s Celebrity Basketball Game. Some of the
celebrities that will be playing are Final Draft, Shawty Lo, OJ da
Juiceman, international basketball player Brandon Nichols, Fabo, actor
Jermel Howard also known as Hotdog in the new Nike commercial for Kevin
Durant (Brave One, Orange is the New Black), Lil G (Silk), artist &
writer Kia Shine (Krispy, Best I Ever Had for Drake), producer K-Major
(2 Chainz), Dre P (Bad Girls Club, Love Games), Stevie J, Jr., Stizz
(Stevie J’s artist), DJ Kelo, Louisiana Cash, and many more. The Movers will be coached
by Love & Hip Hop Atlanta’s Stevie J and the Shakers will be coached
by NBA player Joe Johnson. The national anthem will be sung by R&B
singer Tony Terry and the halftime performance will be Final Draft.
Confirmed and invited guests are Karlie Redd (Love & Hip Hop ATL),
Ramona Rizzo (VH1’s Mob Wives), Stuey Rock (artist & Hot 107.9 radio
personality), Jacob Latimore, Tanisha Thomas (face and host of
everything on Oxygen TV), Jean-Claude, Pastor Robert Whittaker, Brooklyn
Tankard (Bravo), E.J., Pastor Jermaine Lane, and many more.

of Fueling the Dreams, Final Draft will be giving away free school
supplies to over 300 kids before the game at 1pm. Jerseys are provided
by Lightweight Athletics. Sound provided by YouStream Radio. Gifting
suite and giveaways provided by Started from the Bottom Tour. Special
thanks to Chick-Fil-A  Memorial Drive and Earl Jam Entertainment for
their involvement.  Thank you to Andre Deas, Ebony Anderson, Karen
Poyser, the planning committee and Winston Myers, executive director and
all of the staff and volunteers of the Wade Walker Park Family YMCA. This
is a free event and open to the public. Final Draft’s event will be
held at Wade Walker Park Family YMCA, 5605 Rockbridge Road, Stone
Mountain, GA.
