Chick-fil-A on Memorial Drive and DeKalb County Fire Rescue Department Host Touch-A-Truck Showcase

The Chick-fil-A® restaurant on Memorial Drive and the DeKalb County Fire Rescue Department invite the community to a Touch-A-Truck vehicle showcase from 3 to 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 11. The afternoon event will display fire trucks and emergency vehicles for children and families to explore.

A percentage of sales during the event will benefit Explorer Post #901, a program that helps teens gain insight into a variety of programs in the fire service through hands-on, fun-filled activities that promote the growth and development of youth. The DeKalb County Fire Rescue Corps currently has the largest Explorer program in Georgia with more than 50 teenagers, ages 14 to 18.

Representatives from the DeKalb County Fire Rescue Department will be on hand to provide safety tips and distribute coloring books, stickers, fire helmets and fire badges. There will also be special visits from DeKalb County Fire Chief Edward O’Brien and “Que” the Dalmatian Dog.
