2012 DEKALB NEIGHBORHOOD SUMMIT

Dekalb County CEO Burrell Ellis and the Board of Commissioner will host the 4th annual Dekalb Neighborhood Summit on Saturday November 3, 2012. The theme for the 2012 Summit is: “YOUR NEIGHBORHOOD…YOUR QUALITY OF LIFE: THE PLACE WHERE YOUR FUTURE LIVES”.  According to CEO Burrell Ellis “ this year’s Summit will bring together residents from across Dekalb County to meet, exchange ideas and learn how to partner with county departments to sustain and improve the quality of life in our neighborhoods” Over 300 residents are expected to attend the 2012 Summit.


 


Participant will have an opportunity to attend a wide range of workshops addressing such issues as foreclosures, code compliance, community beautification, recycling, water conservation, renewable energy initiatives, community safety and security, Sustainable Neighborhood Programs and The Neighborhood Fund for funding neighborhood projects.

In addition, the 2012  Dekalb Neighborhood Summit will provide residents a unique opportunity to meet and network with Dekalb CEO Burrell Ellis and the Board of Commissioners as well as County Department Heads and community leaders.
