DeKalb Delegation's Cityhood Town Hall Meeting is Monday, May 6, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Clairmont Hills Baptist Church, 1995 Clairmont Drive, Decatur.

at the Redan Trotti Library 1569 Wellborn Road, Lithonia on Tuesday, May 7 at 6 p.m.

The DeKalb County Department of Planning and Sustainability is undertaking a study that will focus on improving land use and transportation connectivity in the Stonecrest Mall area and is seeking input from residents. A public meeting is scheduled for Thursday, May 9 from 7 until 8:30 p.m. at the Hilton Garden Inn at 7890 Mall Ring Road in Lithonia.

A free festival for early literacy at the Clarkston Community Center, 3701 College Avenue in Clarkston, will feature children's stories from around the world, bookmaking, crafts, face painting, play-n-learn activities, healthy food and more. There is a Mother's Day Celebration for moms of special needs children at 4153 Flat Shoals Parkway in Decatur on Saturday, May 11 at 11 a.m.
