The Stone Mountain Community Improvement District held a lunch meeting Wednesday and invited local officials and business leaders.
Speakers included Chief Holmes of the DeKalb Police and Major White of the Tucker Precinct, as well as Community Prosecutor Sonja Brown, and Sheriff Tom Brown.
County CEO Lee May spoke about his plans to increase the number of police officers within the next three years and one-time bonuses he wants to provide that will encourage retention.
