Steady Flow At Stone Mountain Champion Precinct

"It's been steady all day," Mike Stevenson told Patch when asked about voter turnout at the city's Champion School precinct.

Stevenson, assistant manager at the poll, said it will get busier soon. "It picks up from 4:30 to 6."

Manager Betty Roberts agreed. "It's been more than usual today," she said. "And nobody has gotten mad at us!"

"There has been a little confusion with some people not realizing this is a city election rather than an unincorporated one," poll worker Chanda Pierre explained. "But once you tell them, they're OK with it."

Pierre said there had been 252 voters up until 2:40 p.m.
