The service was an awesome experience....to welcome a brand new day...and to give glory, praise and honor to our God who made this new beginning possible for all of us who believe in Him. We got to the top of the mountain 30 minutes before the service started, the lines were long both going up and coming down the mountain, but it moved pretty quickly...it was breezy and cool...glad i brought a hooded coat, but wish i had brought my gloves!...my favorite part was being surrounded by hundreds of believing people hearing the "story"of Jesus the Son of God and hoping one day every person i see will believe one day that our redeemer lives because He is alive in us!

D, thank you so much for your comment! I wasn't able to get up there this year, but I've been twice in the past and thoroughly enjoyed the service. I felt a connection with everyone up there, even though I knew no one!

It was a truly moving experience. You could not have scripted better weather and a more beautiful sunrise. They had some trouble with the sound system and there was some pretty loud static during the music and then it went completely out when one of the preachers was in the middle of his message and we couldn't hear anything he was saying, but those few mishaps did not take away from the absolutely gorgeous sunrise that our glorious Lord provided for us that morning. The music was awesome too. The choice of songs was right on the money. You could not help but be moved listening to four thousand voices singing "Up From The Grave He Arose" and the soloist did an absolutely fantastic job on "Then Came The Morning". It certainly wasn't the weather that gave me "chills" that morning. I'm hooked. I'm already looking forward to next year.

Better get there way before 6 am or u will miss it. Very nice way to spend Easter. Next time we will pack a breakfast picnic instead of waiting in line for another hour for the ride back down.
