Pet of the Week: Junebug

Meet Junebug, the pet of the week from Atlanta Animal Rescue Friends, based in Stone Mountain Village.

This is Junebug! This wonderful girl was rescued from the DeKalb County shelter. She had a pending adoption, but when her new family found out that she had heartworms, they backed out. Luckily for Junebug, she is now part of the AARF foster program and will soon be rid of the heartworms! And lucky for us, too! She is an amazing dog! Our best guess is that she is an Australian Cattle Dog / Terrier mix. She gets along great with other dogs and cats, and loves to snuggle on the couch. She is also very athletic, and would make a great agility or frisbee dog. She is 2-3 years old, and only weighs about 25 pounds, which is the perfect size for a lap!

Someone was not very nice to Junebug before she joined AARF. So, it sometimes takes her a bit before she completely trusts someone. But when she does, she is the funniest, snuggliest and happiest dog you'll ever meet.
