Help Needed: Big Brothers Big Sisters of Metro Atlanta Seeks More Role Models

There are myriad needs among organizations that service children and the homeless. Take a look at some of the opportunities that exist in metro Atlanta to impact a person’s life.
- Big Brothers Big Sisters of Metro Atlanta is in need of men to step up and be Big Brothers for young males – the need for African American and Hispanic men is great.

- The Atlanta Day Shelter for Women & Children Inc. has a monthly volunteer orientation the first Tuesday of each month from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. At this point, the shelter only needs volunteers from Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. If you’d like to volunteer, send an email to volunteer@atlantadayshelter.org and ask available dates/times to lend a hand. - Metro Atlanta Task Force for the Homeless has opportunities for volunteers to do everything from working in the day service center to answering calls on the 24-hour Homeless Assistance Hotline to working on renovation work, serving meals, and more.
