We're one day closer to Friday! Here are five things to keep in mind:

2. Mancala for Kwanzaa! The Hairston Library invites kids ages 5 to 12 to celebrate the Kwanzaa principle of Kuumba by making a mancala board today from 4-5 p.m. Participants (it's open to the first 12) will learn how to play the traditional African game. The library is located at 4911 Redan Rd., Stone Mountain.

3. Reading Zone Unveiling: Today students at the DeKalb Alternative School will finally see their new Reading Zone, a $10,000 makeover courtesy of the Atlanta Hawks and Philips Arena.
