Good morning and welcome to the last few days of August 2011! Hard to believe we're inching closer and closer to fall.

Here are 5 things to know today:

The weather: Lots of sun (surprise!), high of 96. Tonight, low of 66.

Gas prices: Need to gas up? According to reports within the last 36 hours to Georgiagasprices.com, here are the top three places in Stone Mountain to find the cheapest gas : $3.41 at Murphy USA, 1759 Rockbridge Rd. near Pounds Road; $3.49, Kroger at 1227 Rockbridge Rd.; and $3.49 at BP, 5664 Memorial Dr. and Hambrick Rd.

Today in Georgia history: On this day in 1971, Hank Aaron hit his 100th run of the season. Learn  more about this feat from the Georgia Historical Society. That gave him  a National League-breaking 11 seasons with 100 or more RBIs (Georgia Historical Society).
