The weather: It’s still summer, y’all! Sunny, high of 94. Low of 67 Monday night.

What’s for lunch? Entree choices for DeKalb County elementary school students: Asian Chicken Bites with Texas Toast or Ravioli With Texas Toast. Middle school students have the added entree choice of a cheeseburger. Chicken A La King with Texas Toast is another choice for high school kids.

BOGO grocery deals: If you shop at Publix, this is a good week to have spaghetti for dinner. Barilla Pasta is buy one get one free, as is Prego 100 percent Natural Italian Sauce. Fresh Express Salad Blend is two for $5. Kroger shoppers, Carolina Pride products, including bacon, are buy one get one free.

Today in Georgia history:  The N.S. Savannah, the world's first nuclear-powered merchant ship, has its maiden voyage on this day in 1962.
