Athlete Says Stone Mountain 'Was No Joke'

Michael Mills of Covington, who is paralyzed from the waist down, climbed Stone Mountain on Saturday to raise money for a charity, bring awareness to athletes with disabilities and to push himself.

Michael Mills crawled to the top of Stone Mountain -- just as he and his supporters knew he could.

The athlete, who is (Feb. 9) for the first time, with a group of people making the trek with him (while lugging their own challenges, such as tires) and offering encouragement.

Wow!! What a day I have had. all I have to say is Stone Mountain was no joke. I want to thank everyone who put on work today and thank you all who pushed me today. I owe you all. We did it guys.
