Opening date for New Zaxby's

The Zaxby's on S. Hairston near the corner of Redan Road in Stone Mountain is set to open April 1. Learn more about applying for jobs at the restaurant.

N. Hairston Kroger Soon Returning to 24 Hours

The Kroger on , will return to its open-24-hours schedule on March 28. Until then, the store is open from 6 a.m. to midnight.

Gas Stations Get Gussied Up with Plantings

Several gas stations within the Stone Mountain Community Improvement District are looking a little better -- even prettier.

"What we’re doing is we’re going into individual property owners within the Stone Mountain CID and we’re approaching them to remove a lot of the overgrown, unsightly and in a lot of cases, bad plant materials and coming in with a new fresh flowering landscape," said Jack Kaiser, president, Pattillo Grounds Management Inc.

The stations in the Mountain Industrial area getting the landscape improvement work include: Texaco, BP; and Valero. The Chevron at Tucker Industrial and Hugh Howell is also getting new plantings.
