Plus-Sized Model Search Coming to Lithonia

Two national forces in the fashion industry are collaborating on a search for a plus-sized model to be part of a magazine spread and social media campaign.

Clothing designer Ashley Stewart and PLUS Model Magazine Editor-In-Chief Madeline Jones will be looking for potential candidates when they appear at Lithonia's Stonecrest Mall on Sunday, May 5, between 3-6 p.m.

Candidates will be professionally photographed and entered on-site into the national contest, and everyone who attends the event may be eligible to win gifts and discounts, according to a statement released by the two companies.

"This is the opportunity of a lifetime for one lucky winner," said Jones. "I’ve been an Ashley Stewart customer for many years and am delighted to partner with a brand that demonstrates such positive passion for full-figured fashion. Ashley Stewart and PLUS Model Magazine are like-minded in the way we see today’s contemporary plus-size woman. She’s sexy, fabulous, and loves fashion!”

Applicants must be U.S. residents aged 18 years or older and may not be under exclusive contract with a modeling agency. The winner will be flown to New York City for a photo shoot and interview to be published in the August issue of PLUS Model Magazine. Second and third place winners will receive an Ashley Stewart gift certificate.
